Browns offensive coordinator Brad Childress says Trent Richardson (ankle) could be a "spot player" in Week 17 if he's cleared to play.
It sounds like the team has made up their mind that Montario Hardesty will get the start against the Steelers. Richardson didn't practice at all on Wednesday or Thursday, and we still believe that Cleveland will hold the rookie out entirely. Richardson is 50 yards shy of posting a 1,000-yard rushing season. Brandon Jackson, who has been an inactive for much of the season, will likely serve as the change-of-pace behind Hardesty.
